The Startup Societies and Crypto Cities Summit at Vitalia 2024 was a groundbreaking event that took place from February 2-4, 2024, as part of the broader Vitalia pop-up city initiative in Roatán, Honduras (January 6 – April 1, 2024). Co-hosted by the Startup Societies Network and organized by Niklas Anzinger, founder of Infinita VC, the summit brought together leading experts in governance, blockchain, and emerging cities to explore the future of startup societies.
The event featured distinguished speakers such as Naval Ravikan (CEO, Angel List), Joe Longsdale (Co-Founder, 8VC), Arthur Breitman (Co-Founder, Tezos), Brian Johnson, Balaji Srinivasan (Author, The Network State), Patri Friedman (Seasteading Institute), Jorge Colindres (Technical Secretary, Próspera).
Discussions focused on investment strategies for new cities, legal frameworks for startup companies, and best practices for scaling projects. Sessions on longevity research in startup societies featured Mac Davis and Greg Nakagawa, providing insight into how governance models can integrate long-term planning and technological innovation.
